Poznan is the fifth largest city in Poland with a population of around 500,000, in addition to the permanent residents there are 130,000 students studying in Poznan. Poznan is not only one of the oldest city in Poland but also one of the most lively and dynamic. There are numerous historic buildings and tourist attraction as well lively night life. How to go there

 

By air

Poznan Airport Lawica offers direct connections to several European capitals. It is only 7 km from the city centre (access via – Bukowska Street from the KAPONIERA roundabout). From the Airport one can go straight by MPK City Transport using fast track by bus 59 to the KAPONIERA roundabout – the transportation hub in Poznan city centre. At night (from 23.00 to 5.00 am) connections from the airport to the city centre are provided by the night bus 242 (leaving every 60 minutes).

From the KAPONIERA roundabout to conference venue you can go straight by tramway lines no. 5, 13, 16 to the stop POLITECHNIKA.

Taxi ride from the airport to the conference venue should take around 30 minutes.

By train

The Main Station – Dworzec Główny is located in the city centre and, among many others, it offers direct fast connection to/from capital of Poland – Warsaw (less than 3 hours) as well as direct connection to/from Berlin (less than 3 hours). To the conference venue one can go straight by tramway no. 6 and 18 from the stop POZNAN GŁÓWNY to the KÓRNICKA stop or by tramway no. 5 from so-called Western Station DWORZEC ZACHODNI to the POLITECHNIKA stop.

Taxi ride form the train station to the conference venue should take around 15 minutes.

By car

Poznan can be easily reached by highway A2 connecting Berlin with Warsaw.

Poznań – the city of greenery

Although it is one of Poland’s larger cities, Poznań has a wealth of natural heritage as well. Forest regions make up for nearly one-third of the city’s area. Within the city there are two natural reserves: Morasko Meteorite and Żurawiniec.
